Overview
Orbit is a concept portfolio for a small design studio. I built it as a study in premium detail — the magnetic-cursor, buttery-scroll, high-polish style you see on the best studio sites.
The Challenge
This kind of site lives or dies on the details and on performance. The challenge was hitting that high-polish feel — magnetic interactions, smooth scroll, image reveals — while keeping the build fast.
The Solution
Astro for performance (islands architecture, ships mostly HTML), GSAP timelines for the motion, and Locomotive Scroll for smoothness. Scope kept tight: hero, work grid, case study, about and contact.

Smooth scroll system
Locomotive Scroll integrated with GSAP for buttery scroll animation.
Image reveals
Custom transitions between case studies.
Magnetic cursor
Cursor and hover targets magnetize with tuned physics.
Case study system
Templated so new work drops into the grid quickly.
